All my work is original, painted and drawn by hand.

While every effort is made to photograph the art work to show true colour and texture please allow for slight variations in colour due to the nature of representation via ones personal computer and device.

PRINT CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Your print is more an art object, less like a poster, allowing the viewer’s eye a bit of relief while also giving a sense of depth and attention to the design.

Inkjet-based pigment prints on archival rag papers can be quite vulnerable to damage, even from relatively subtle contact, so they need to be handled carefully. 

The following are simple instructions for making sure that your investment in a quality print isn’t wasted!

Don’t touch the printed area. Wherever possible do not touch any area on the page where pigment ink has been laid down. This is true across all paper and print types, but especially pertinent to matte papers printed with areas of high ink density (i.e. dark areas) and areas with smooth tonality (flat colour in a digital illustration). This is because matte papers achieve their matte finish by dispersing light with fine velvet-like fibres. And just like velvet, if you touch/rub/scuff it, traces of the contact will be left visible. Unlike velvet though, you cannot reverse this by running your hand back the other way – the damage is permanent and very obvious in dark and/or smooth areas of your prints. In lighter and more scattered/patterned prints you may never notice any scuffing or finger marks from contact, but always best to play it safe.

Keep it cool, dry & shady. Despite the surface fragility, with correct handling the longevity of pigment ink prints on archival papers is truly outstanding. Indeed that’s exactly what they’re designed for: potential centuries of stability, ensuring that many generations can enjoy a given artwork – maintained visually just as the artist prepared it. 

Your best chance at achieving a long life for your print is keeping it dry, cool and out of direct sunlight. Big swings in temperature and humidity aren’t good so avoid them if you can.

Ensure Archival framing behind glass (or perspex) is the ideal destination for your print and provides the ultimate physical protection for it.

PAINTING CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Your painting is an original one of a kind and extream care should be taken to preserve its original condition. Palette knife thick imapsto paintings are unvarnished. To dust a Miranda Summers art work use a clean soft bristled paint brush, do not use cleaning products or solvents. Be sure to never scrub with abrasive materials. Flat paintings are varnished in Gamsol Satin varnish which is designed to breath and let the painting cure. The same cleaning tecnique applies to this kind of artwork, soft bristle brush for dusting and never use solvents or cleaning products.

PRICES & PAYMENT

Payments accepted via Credit Card and through Paypal.

If no payment is made within 48hrs, the item will be re-listed and the sale cancelled.

Prices are all shown in AUD inclusive of GST. Prices displayed throughout this website were accurate at the time of publication and may change at any time.

SHIPPING 

Paintings: national and international freight is calculated on the individual size and weight of each painting. Shipping quotes are obtained through the contact page on this website. Paintings on Canvas are stretched ready for framing, any canvas over 1m tall or wide will ship in a bespoke wooden packing case included in the shipping quote.

Prints: will be shipped within 5 to 7 working days of your order, you will be informed if there is a longer lead time. National and International postage is calculated on the size, weight and destination of each Print. All items are carefully wrapped, print size A3 and A4 are packed and posted flat, larger prints will be rolled and posted in a postal tube. 

Please note I will ship to your Paypal postal address unless told otherwise.

Items will be shipped tracked via Australia Post.

International buyers: buyer is responsible for any customs or fees.

Each illustration viewed on my shop page has the watermark text ‘mirandasummers.com’ which is for copyright purposes and will not be included on the final printed product.

RETURNS 

I do hope you love your purchase, but if you are unhappy in any way please get in touch.

Upon the return of the item in satisfactory condition in the original packaging using a tracked postal service within 14 days, I will refund you the purchase price of the piece. I cannot refund the shipping costs.
